Using Neomail

When? Any time when you are away from your home computer, whether it be at work, on holiday, in an internet cafe, or just stuck behind a firewall.
How? You can send and receive email via your browser, so you never need miss an email.
HowTo:
  • First, we need to logon to webmail (in this example we shall use Neomail).
This can be done in one of two ways:
    • Go to Webmail in your control panel, or,
    • Go to http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail.
  • If requested to logon then do so (you can logon with POP username and password, or your default account username and password).
  • Select Neomail (Feel free to explore the other programs, but we shall only use Neomail for this tutorial).
  • If this is the first time you have used Neomail, you will have to enter some basic information (see Configuring Neomail).
  • You should now be at the main interface, from here you can compose, read and manage your email.
  • To Compose an Email:
    • Click on the first icon on the toolbar (a pen writing on yellow paper).
    • From here composing an email is fairly intuitive, enter all the details, Browse for any files you want to send and then click Add to add them to the email.
    • When you've finished, simply click Send, and the email is sent.
  • To Refresh your Email:
    • Refresh your email so that you can see if any new emails have arrived, by clicking on the second icon on the toolbar(the two curved arrows).
  • To Change your Preferences:
    • To change the preferences you set when you first used Neomail, click the third icon on the toolbar (the spanner/wrench).
  • Adding to the Address Book:
    • Click on the fourth icon on the toolbar (a yellow, open book).
    • Enter the name and email address of your email contact.
    • Click Add/Modify.
    • You will see any changes you have made, added to the address book
    • Simply, click on the address when you want to send that person an email and their details will automatically be entered.
  • Working with Folders:
    • When organising your email messages, you can create new folders to store them in a more organised way.
    • Click the fifth icon on the tooldbar (a blue folder).
    • Enter a folder name, and click Add.
    • Create as many folders as you like, you can always return here to delete them.
    • To get back to the main menu, click the blue folder with a red arrow under it, on the toolbar.
    • To see the messages in any folder, simply select the folder from the drop down menu in the top left of the toolbar.
    • To move messages to a folder:
      • Simply select the message by putting a cross in the box next to it (or select All at the top).
      • Select the folder where you want the emails to go in the top right drop-down folder menu.
      • Click Move.
  • Deleting Messages:
    • Any messages you place in the Neomail-trash folder, will automatically be deleted when you click the sixth icon on the toolbar (A dustbin/trashcan with a blue arrow coming from it).
  • Logging Out:
    • When you have finished (especially if this is a shared computer), don't forget to Logout, by clicking the seven icon on the toolbar (A blue square with a white cross through it).
